Regenset Energy and Partners 

Regenset Energy, is a new venture led by Dr. Ian de Vries, partnering with some world leading technology providers. 

1. Dr. Ian de Vries - 

Founder, and will personally fund seed capital. Excellent entrepreneurial track record as founder of Balancell. In addition he was Lead engineer and CEO of Balancell for its first 11 years.

2. Ampt -

They make the world's best high voltage (HV) DC solar power optimizers. Ampt’s solution was highlighted in a report by https://www.dnv.com/  which compared various PV+storage architectures. The report found Ampt’s high, fixed-voltage DC-coupled approach saved between 18.7 and 29.6 percent of impacted component costs compared to the other DC- and AC-coupled configurations

3. Balancell -

World leading HV modules (South African manufactured but soon European manufactured). Balancell manufactures Lithium batteries for industrial motive and renewable energy space.  Founded in 2013 by Dr. Ian de Vries,  and with less than USD$2m total funding over its life to date, is now at R400m revenue and growing rapidly. It is considered to be world leading battery technology with some of the best battery data analytics available. Dr. de Vries brings proven business and technical leadership as well as vast experience and knowledge of the batteries, power electronics, inverters, manufacturing, connected systems and software development. In other words, knowledge of the complete energy system design and full integration of the whole value chain. Balancell will be providing the battery modules for this venture, that provide some key advantages, with scalable locally manufacturing. Uses a Tier one supplier of cells.

4. Trumpf - 

Trumpf is a leader in Industrial power Electronics. Their inverters have been selected over a multitude of others, offering excellent system features and integration, efficiency and cost advantages. They can operate in parallel and offer black start abilities.
